Chinese food and Pupils’ choice

We are asking pupils for feedback on the meals and the chef is enjoying cooking some of their suggestions. Today's pupils' choice was Spring Rolls served alongside fried rice, noodles and sweet and sour chicken. The Pea soup was thick and tasty and the choice of puddings included carrot cake, fruit and mousse.

Vegan options

Our chef John has been experimenting with meat replacements to produce some more interesting vegan options. Today's mock lamb tagine was really tasty and staff who tried it agreed that the texture was just like lamb. There were meatballs on offer for the meat eaters plus the usual soup (broccoli), salads and peach and cherry mouse, yoghurt and fruit (water melon or fresh pineapple) for desserts.

The lunches served by our caterers, IFG Independent, are so delicious and nutritious we want to give you a flavour of what is being served. The curries are not too spicy and come with lots of sides. Last week, there was a chicken curry and a vegan lentil dahl. Just look at those golden poppadums:

We are delighted to be welcoming everyone back to Windlesham on Monday and to be offering the latest menu from our chef John. The children were asked about their favourite dishes last term and for suggestions of things they would like to see served. The results are on our new menu : Menus 8th - 25th March  

Delicious School Lunches

November 2020 has seen the launch of our fabulous school lunches service. Provided by Impact Food group (Independent), the children and staff have been delighted by the freshly prepared nutritious lunches. With menus prepared to suit vegetarian, vegan, dairy and gluten free options there is something for everyone, including freshly baked bread! The range of hot meals, fresh fruit and vegetables and salads is extensive as you can see from a few photos of last week's offering.
